Hands on Parenting

  1. Monitor what your child watch on tv.
  2. Monitor what your child does on the internet.
  3. Put restrictions on the music they buy and listen to.
  4. Know where your kids are after school and on weekends.
  5. Expect to be and are told the truth by your child about where they really are going.
  6. Be “very aware” of your child’s academic performance.
  7. Impose a curfew.
  8. Eat dinner with your children several times per week.
  9. Turn off the TV during dinner.
  10. Assign your child regular chores.
  11. Have an adult present when your child returns from school.
